Foundations

  • Multiple foundation systems can be defined within the model.

  • Each foundation can be assigned detailed load data (vertical, horizontal, moment, distributed load) and geometric properties.

  • Shallow foundations, pile foundations, micro-piles, jet grout columns, and deep mixing (DSM) column-supported foundations are supported.

  • Foundations can be modeled with rectangular, circular, or polygonal geometries.

Foundation Definition Features

  • Shallow, piled, and micro-piled foundations can be defined with rectangular, circular, or polygonal geometries.

  • Rigid columns can be added beneath foundations for ground improvement.

  • These rigid columns can be modeled using DSM (Deep Soil Mixing), jet grouting, or stone column methods.

  • Loads can be applied to foundations as:

    • Vertical loads

    • Horizontal loads

    • Moments

    • Distributed loads

  • For polygonal pile caps and shallow foundations, automatic pile placement can be performed based on user-defined spacing.

  • Piles and rigid columns can also be manually assigned to specific points on the foundation.

  • Voids or internal openings can be defined within rectangular, circular, or polygonal foundation shapes.
